iWorld by Kris Brooker

Kassandra Krane works for the L.A.P.D. fighting crime with paperwork. What she can’t fight is the terminal cancer diagnosed for her son, Josh.

So when an obscure charity offers the hope of a cure, accepting will cost Kass dearly. They’ll take her son, and make her a fugitive, destroying the life she knew. There will be no going back, and the only way forward is on the wrong side of the Law she’d sworn to uphold.

With a retired assassin and a bi-polar conspiracy cell as her allies, they’ll pit themselves against a rogue faction of the CIA.

A cryptic message left by the group’s leader is the key to discovering the secret. Why American kids are getting cancer, and how it threatens to unleash a global catastrophe.

Start the body count. Kass won’t stop until she gets her son back.

The characters in iWorld are diverse and interesting and I’m not only talking about Kass, but the side characters as well. This novel is full of nerve-wracking tension and a real thrill-ride.

My sister’s reading it now and loves it too

Ian Miller

A masterpiece. The action sequences and the constant tension builds to a tremendous ending. Kass may be one of the best, and most desperate female characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading about.

Cutter May

I loved the grit and desperation of this woman, who turns a little cold. But hey, who wouldn’t given the circumstances. Kass refuses to let the bad guys win and this rocketship of a story really got me. Beuatifully told with true heart

Alice Steel

This book hops-steps-and jumps through its pages. A full throttle escapade for a mum to find her son, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get him back.

I read Trigger before this (which is brilliant by the way). Could be two different authors as the style is so different. IWorld is relentless with its energy. I love Kass, what she goes through is extraordinary. Great supporting characters. Loved the Pengins
