Kassandra Krane works for the L.A.P.D. fighting crime with paperwork. What she can’t fight is the terminal cancer diagnosed for her son, Josh.
So when an obscure charity offers the hope of a cure, accepting will cost Kass dearly. They’ll take her son, and make her a fugitive, destroying the life she knew. There will be no going back, and the only way forward is on the wrong side of the Law she’d sworn to uphold.
With a retired assassin and a bi-polar conspiracy cell as her allies, they’ll pit themselves against a rogue faction of the CIA.
A cryptic message left by the group’s leader is the key to discovering the secret. Why American kids are getting cancer, and how it threatens to unleash a global catastrophe.
Start the body count. Kass won’t stop until she gets her son back.
I agree with previous review. This book isn’t all burn, it has heart too. Kass has lost her son and the journey to find him is wonderfully weaved. There is a sense of desperation and resolution in this book that held me by my hand till the end
I should have been reviewing for my exams, but this book was as addictive as drugs and perhaps more enjoyable. From the desert to the big city Kass never quits. Nothing stops her. My heart is with Kassandra
I’m surprised more people haven’t mentioned the ingenuity with which Kass tracks her son’s kidnappers. With the help of a retired assassin and those clever-clever Penguins Kass navigates a complex conspiracy whilst trying to stay alive. My hat’s off to her.
Iworld is heartbreaking and thrilling, but impossible to put down. High octane from the beginning as Kass deciphers the way to find her son. Clever and exciting with a host of good characters
Kass is brilliant, a real underdog who is impossible not to like.
